In order to enhance your organic search ranking, traffic evaluation is essential to the site owner.  I will focus on the below items (if you are holding a small scale company):

1. Number of visits – It means an interaction between a web visitor and her browser.  Each visits consist of 1 to many pageviews.  The interaction ends only if the visitor leave your webpage or close its browser.
2. Pageviews – If most of the visitor view 1 page of my website, I will consider as a failure or false drop (which means that my webpage is not relevant to her search result), or the content of the website isn’t convincing to him.
3. Map overlay – The geographic region of the visitors
4. Traffic source – As a online marketer, I will see both search engine and referral traffic are important.

I do not mean to ignore other information, it’s just my practise in  day to day works.
