Anchor text is an important factor in Search Engine Optimization.  The anchor text is a visible, clickable text in a hyperlink.   The words included in the said anchor text can be read and understood by search engines, and it could also provide information to the audience with relevant description or contextual data about the content of the linked site.

The proper way of using the Anchor text should be without the text “Click here”.   Let’s see the example below:

Michael Owen seals his dream move to Man Utd, click here to read the related news.

Michael Owen seals his dream move to Man Utd.

In the above case, the latter one should be selected.   It’s because the “Click here” doesn’t give any value to the link but the latter example does!   It is understandable that most of the SEO experts suggest not to use the “Click here” to value the link.
