Knowledge Management and Search Engine Optimization
{lang: 'ar'}

First of all, let me explain what Knowledge Management (KM) is. I define Knowledge Management is the art of defining, creating and evaluating how people manage and share experience.   Give you 2 platform which KM is usually seen:

  • Discussion in forum
  • Interview

Discussion forum is a good example to explain KM theory.  Participants of a forum often share their insights with one another in such a leisure, informal platform.   (You may join LinkedIn to see how people exchange knowledge there, go and join any group you like now!)  In addition, a forum is also a good tool to  make colloborative stuff happens, and encourages people interacts and participates  via the platform.

It is not uncommon to see knowledge management and search engine optimization goes hand in hand.  And, knowledge management becomes an essential factor for building links.   The reason is that if you build a knowledgebase in your website, probably discussion forum, FAQ, technical documents, glossary, blog sections..etc will be put there.   The beauty of including the said information is that it will entirely reduce technical support and enforce corporate image, also the pages act as an orphan page with rich keywords.   In addition, for those who loves your post will definitely bookmark the corresponding page from knowledgebase.  Thus, it provides you to get more inbound links there.

  1. A big part of knowledge management is also making it easy to find information. Search engines are, for me, an essential component of a KM solution.
