Google Adwords Keyword Tool

If you wanna get a good ranking in the Google, surely you have to do a keyword research by using this tool.   You can find keywords that relevant to your search phrases, with also the approximate search volume and advertiser competition.  The advertiser competition shows the number of advertisers bidding on each keyword relative to all keywords across Google.  You may get some ideas with entering your primary keyword there.

Websitegrader

I am not a lover of this tool but I usually use it.  The reason is that it covers wide range of areas, including both the SEO and SMO evaluations.  Each selected URL of the system will be given a grade by their system.   However, it didn’t care much about how many links do you have in the social/new media (the system will be satisified whenever you have 1 link).  In addition, it misses the importance of link building.

Meta Tag Analyzer

It is a good tool especially for those who doesn’t really understand what is html.  Users do not need to check on the source code of the selected webpages.

Wordtracker

Last but not least, I am sure most of the SEO professionals heard and used this.  The wordtracker is actually a good tool especially it provides alternatives to your search phrase.  However, I feel that the database of the google’s one (Google Adwords Keyword Tool) is much stronger this now.
